And so the whole engaging experience begins by continuing the conversation around Values, Operational processes and Relationships all in one tidy place!

In Pat's words ..

I was frustrated in my previous role that People Capability development was traditionally thought of as a linear process aligned to career pathway, when I could see the changing nature of jobs and the skills required to succeed in today’s workplace require companies to rethink the way they build people capability.

I'm much happier that I'm with an organisation that has encouraged me to help them move away from unidimensional interventions to a flexible and continuous approach to development.

I work closely with business leaders and line managers to build their people capability, plan and manage talent and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives- some might call that a HR Business Partner which suits me more than being seen in a box!

BIG PICTURE walks that walk when colleagues can see me looking looking up and out across the whole organisaton and handing out some of the Symbols not always associated with People Capabilities such as Measures and Tech. This helps me turn the tables with colleagues to quickly hone in on the topic of the day and also keeps our horizons sufficiently broad so we don't miss anything!
